With a team of doctors that have got more than 20 years of experience in the sexual and public health field, the clinic was formed in April 2019 with the original name of Pride Health. Accordingly, the center's outstanding achievements and practical values ​have brought to the community the new fresh air of transformation. The community motivated Pride Health staff to develop and have a new transformation creating the premise of Pride & Prevention Center (PPC World) today.

PPC World's vision of helping the customers to gain knowledge and stand up for their health through community projects and health education aiming to bring a generation of “Get up and on for your health”

A new era of healthcare for PPC World will be: customers can understand pathogens, self-monitor, and plan to prevent disease independently through our health platform ( Telemedicine).

 

Master doctor Nguyễn Anh Thuận
Medical Advisor, Director of PPC World

Doctor Nguyen Anh Thuan graduated from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy with, Master's degree in Tropical Disease and Public Health at the Royal Tropical Institute, Netherlands.

 

With 20 years of experience in clinical and community-based infectious disease management, especially AIDS / STDs, Covid-19, hepatitis, and recurrent diseases. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thuan has worked in Vietnam, India, Nepal, Japan, Kenya, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Egypt, Canada, etc.

 

In addition to the role of advisor and director at PCC World, Master - Doctor Nguyen Anh Thuan also participates in medical examinations at Family Medical Clinic under Family Medicine Practice Center, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, and the hospital of District 4.

Notable achievements:
  • Trainer and frontline doctor of Covid-19 at Nha Be field hospital, District 4 Hospital from the beginning of 2020.
  • Scaling up exposure prevention (PreP); The $25 million HIV project is managed by USAID/Research Triangle Institute.
  • Advise on policies, technical guidelines and health programs for international immigrants institutionalized by CIDA; JICA, World Bank.
  • Participating in medical examination and treatment at Can Tho University of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy, Vietnam Australia International General Hospital, etc.
  • As one of the members who planned to advocate for bringing ART drugs to Vietnam.
  • Member of the organizing committee for Pride activities in Southeast Asia.
Dr. Cao Kim Van
Medical Advisor at PPC World

Dr. Cao Kim Van with expertise in virology and tuberculosis has over 30 years of experience in treating HIV and opportunistic infections such as pneumonia and multiorgan tuberculosis.

She was the former Director of Outpatient Clinic at District 4 Hospital and is currently in charge of professional counseling on PrEP and HIV treatment at PPC World. With expertise and skills in counseling to detect co-infections and mobilizing family-community support for treatment, Dr. Cao Kim Van has participated in many large-scale studies on the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis. (PrEP), TB in people with HIV, HIV load, and CD4 levels. In addition, she is also known as a dedicated and sincere doctor for the LGBT community.

Dr. Donn Colby
Senior Medical Advisor from the United States

Dr. Donn Colby is the co-founder of PPC World's precursor Pride Health clinic and currently serves as a specialist advisor at PPC World. He graduated from the Medical University and received a PhD in Public Health in Washington, USA. Currently, he is in charge of HIV research and treatment projects between Washington DC, Vietnam and Thailand.

Notable achievements
  • Key member and founder of the AIDS Initiative at Harvard Medical School in Vietnam (HAIVN).
  • Participated and is the owner of many international research projects on ARV drug resistance, research on the use of PrEP in Thailand.
  • Pioneers in the PrEP pre-exposure prevention program in Southeast Asia.
Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi (Hannah Nguyen)

Vice Director

Operations Manager with 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Specializing in English language in Medical and achieving a degree in medical interpretation, Nhi has successfully interpreted and supported foreign doctors in treating patients both domestically and internationally. Her significant contributions in the fight against the Covid pandemic demonstrate her dedication and professionalism. Nhi always takes high responsibility and aims to deliver the most effective treatment outcomes for her clients. With outstanding skills and high adaptability, she overcomes language barriers in the healthcare field, ensuring clear communication between doctors and patients.

Ho Ngoc Minh An
Medical Secretary

Minh An has worked in a Japanese company, where she gained a solid understanding of organizational processes and the Japanese philosophy, which she applies to both her personal and professional life. With proficient communication skills in Japanese and English, she has become a reliable bridge between patients and doctors in the healthcare sector, particularly in sexual health and the LGBTQ+ community in Vietnam.

Minh An believes that establishing a strong connection between patients and doctors is a crucial factor in the success of treatment and community healthcare. With dedication and passion for her profession, she strives to provide accurate advice and guidance, ensuring the safety and meeting the needs of patients in the clinic. Patient benefits and satisfaction are always her top priority in every decision and effort.
